Counseling for Families

Strengthening relationships between parents and their children is our mission.  We help parents and children enjoy each other through fun activities and interventions geared specifically to bring out the strengths of each family member. We focus on solutions along with the talents and interests of every family member so that everyone can experience authentic joy during therapy sessions and beyond.

Major Life Changes, Conflict or Stress

Your family is the first relationship your child will experience.  It can be full of conflict or a great example of what healthy relationships with friends and loved ones should look like in their future. Divorce, separation, job stress, loss, moving, transitioning to school, having a sibling with special needs, and overwhelming daily schedules have an affect on family dynamics.  These issues don’t have to tear your family apart.  We help children, siblings, and parents to process and address issues and draw from both CBT and Solution Focused Brief Therapy along with a relationship based approach during treatment.  Come discover and unite your individual strengths, as you work to grow understand each other so you can face the obstacles that come your way.

Siblings Fight

Siblings fight!  It’s a normal part of childhood, however, sometimes things can get out of hand which leads to deep hurts and relationship issues in addition to a major headache for parents.  We will work with siblings to learn how to communicate their needs, express empathy, practice patience and decrease conflict in developmentally appropriate ways that will also help them to be a better friend and classmate.
